Meet the Leaders Behind Mosaic

We're Property Management Operators and Entrepreneurs.

Co-Founder & Legal

Evan began his career as a trial lawyer after graduating from the University of Virginia School of Law. As the principal attorney at Mayo Law Group PLLC, his trial practice focuses on defamation, business torts, and complex litigation. Beyond the courtroom, he serves as fractional general counsel to startups and technology-focused businesses, primarily advising on growth strategies and risk management.

Evan began investing in Charlottesville real estate in 2017 and expanded to Tennessee two years later. He used private capital to buy and operate real estate portfolios of scattered-site rental assets during the extended period of depressed interest rates from 2019-2022. In 2023, Evan became a partner in Braden Property Management. His combined background in law and entrepreneurship gives him a practical understanding of how to structure and scale business ventures.

At Mosaic, Evan is responsible for legal strategy and organizational structure. He focuses on building strong foundations for sustainable growth and enjoys creating frameworks that help owners transition or expand their businesses effectively.

Co-Founder & Corporate Development

Peter began his career in insurance, starting an independent property and casualty agency in 2011. While building Sturdivant Insurance, he got to observe how his real estate investor clients built wealth through real estate. After acquiring a few single family rentals, he sold Sturdivant Insurance in 2017 and went full time into real estate investing.

Since 2017, Peter has conducted over 300 off market real estate transactions, co-founded a second insurance agency, currently manages a private credit fund, and is a co-founder of Doorby Property Management in Chattanooga, TN.

At Mosaic, Peter is responsible for corporate development. Having done dozens of creatively structured real estate deals, he enjoys finding a mutually beneficially way for owners to exit their business in a way that makes sense for them.
